Hi everyone,

i am normally the worst person when it comes to basing and painting models. So i have recently invested in lots of basing materials so i can have a play around, first i went for a winter style base, which turned out good, but the dam sand'n'fluff keeps coming off. So i read up on the texture paints from GWS, so i thought i would give them a crack. To my surprise i fell in love and have been basing stuff for my army since.

Pictures below show my progress so far, their are 20-40 of the 25mm ones fully completed with a few others to be made. The HWT ones have prooven the most difficult just to get the bond on the wood strong enough so if they get dropped it wouldn't splinter and come apart.

I know these are currently really dark, and i am looking into a method where i can cut decent groves into the basa wood. Also im trying to find a range of browns which isn't to red. please have a look and if you think you have something which might help comment.

I really like them. My only word of caution would be that if you build a trench table, the hwt bases would clash were you to place them in the trench. They do look great though.

I think i might pin the people onto points with these bases so i can change the HWT to anohter base if required. just finished some shading. will upload the 3 HWT bases. then im going to start on some more.

Here are a few more bases and a objective marker. Bits from different wargaming parties but bits from Chimera comms upgrade and FW DKOK vox backpack.

If anyone has another idea of how i can theme the bases, give me a shout.
