Hi, I am new to Moonclan and keen to try out a Squig heavy army. I am not worried about being super competitive, but want to be able to win some games.

Aiming for 2,500 point list.

Would the following allow this opportunity?

General:
Grot Warboss (100)
- Giant Squig
- Moon Prodder

Leaders:
Fungoid Cave Shaman (80)
- Chronomatic Cogs (60)

Grot Shaman (80)

Battlelines:
20 Cave Squigs (240)
20 Cave Squigs (240)
20 Cave Squigs (240)
20 Cave Squigs (240)

Behomoths:
Mangler Squigs (240)
Mangler Squigs (240)
Mangler Squigs (240)
Colossal Squig (300)

Other Units:
2 Grot Squig Herders (20)
2 Grot Squig Herders (20)
2 Grot Squig Herders (20)
2 Grot Squig Herders (20)
2 Grot Squig Herders (20)
2 Grot Squig Herders (20)
2 Grot Squig Herders (20)
2 Grot Squig Herders (20)
2 Grot Squig Herders (20)
2 Grot Squig Herders (20)

TOTAL= 2,500pts

The other idea I had was to swap out the Colossal Squig as 1. its FW and 2. it may just get focus fired to death. In its place I'd run 4 Mangler Squigs and 26 grot herders instead of 20.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts

Looks fun and deadly!

All the extra herders will keep the squigs under (better) control,

I'd hate to face it!

Do you plan to roll in on 1 big front,
or have a second "line" of squigs to exploit?

Interesting to think about two waves. The way i see it is the manglers punch up essentially as wave one and the cave squigs as wave two.

If I run the Colossal, that will be wave one. Also if Fungoid is the general, his command ability allows a unit to run/charge. Then Manglers can support, followed by Cave Squigs.

With chronomantic cogs giving all units +2 move and charge..they are getting some nice movement buffs. Then slow down time for an extra spell.

Considering taking Fungoid as general and two shaman instead of the Warboss. Then reducing down my herder numbers (a bit) and taking either 1 colossal squig and 3 manglers, or 2 colossals and 2 manglers.

Like you say - a fun list!
