So...

1. Should I leave him pristine or weather him a little to be in line with my (yet to be painted) Stormtroopers that will receive a canonical color scheme with desert theme and weathering?

2. More importantly, should I add a Hello Kitty logo? And if so, where?

Questions, questions...

I LOVE IT! Put a big hello kitty logo on the cape. I’ve been out of this type of hobby for some time, where did you get the miniature?

The chest would seem the logical place, if you can shirk down a picture or freehand one.

Thanks, guys.

Star Wars Legion by Fantasy Flight Games. Vader is in the starter set.

I think I might just do that. In retrospect the cape isn't as wavy as I thought when I painted him. I should be able to get the logo on there easy enough.

You mean just under the chain? I've done some small freehand before, but this is outright tiny. Not sure I'll be able to do that.

I saw a similar cosplay and the Hello Kitty face replaced the buttons. I know you painted them already but it seems easy to file them flat and put on a little square of plastic card.

Yeah, I think I know the one you mean. I did a quick Google search before I started painting him to see if there was a good one to base mine off of.

Truth be told Hello Kitty Vader suffered from a terrible lack of foresight, taking him step by step without thinking ahead. I should have consider that chest logo earlier. I could have also added one of those decorative tie thingies that I don't have a clue what they're called) to the helmet.

I'm not above going back to fix such things even on a painted model. I might do that. The big thing holding me back is that the lights on the chest give the model a spot of color that the logo might not have. Something to think about.

Do you mean a bow?

It should be easy to do in green stuff.

Yep, that's it.

I'm beginning to like the idea. Bow on the left side of the helmet above the eye, painted in dark pink as his robe. Should look the part.

I decided to take it easy during the heatwave and not do any (re-)sculpting. Paint job will do fine.

Finished Vader:

Looks good, I might've put the hello kitty face on the codpiece though to get people's reactions

Thanks.

While a crotch kitty might have been fun, I'm not a fan of Vader's gear on the front. The chest box needs all the lights and buttons cut off and the crotch and shoulder armor have ridges that make a flat icon appear too disjointed for my taste.

They should have considered future kittifying when they originally designed Vader's outfit...
