Hi everyone,

I'm planning to start a mainly deepkin army but I'm also looking to run them in 40k as eldar. Since then range for 40k is bigger I've had to add in some other aelf units to fill it out and I was wondering if it would be possible/ good to run the same list for ais. What do you think. Will this work?

Lotan

2x3 Morsair guard

1 allopex

10 namarti reavers

1x royal council battalion

10 black ark corsairs

10 darkshards

It's a bit of a strange list with the corsairs and darkshards in separate
Detachments

Thanks in advance

The fishy elves could work quite nicely as some watery Eldar Exodites. Not sure how you'd tie in the dark elves though...

They're all listed under order so I figured they're still able to be used. I might be wrong.

You are not wrong. You're able to take allied units as part of your army, and they don't necessarily have to be from one list.

However with that said..., Idoneth are an army that really benefits from a focused approach.

Do you want Akhelian Cavalry? A Namarti Horde? A balanced mixture? The characters in the army really tend to be 'built' to buff one playstyle over the other, with certain Enclaves further cementing your choice.

Thanks for the reply. At the moment this is the list I'm using to build a 40k eldar army. Sigmar will be a secondary game. Eventually I want to add more eels and definitely a leviadon. And the other aelves will eventually drop out of the list.

Ah...then yeah, I can't help you. They're not an army that (in my opinion) really translate over well to 40k proxies.

I think they'd make good exodites but sadly that isn't an option. This will eventually develop into a full army but to start they'll be run in 40k. I just play in a small group of friends so being truly wysiwyg isn't such a problem.
