I have been trying of coming up with something reasonably competitive, please let me know if I've gotten anything wrong with how I've set this list up. (I'm pretty sure everything here is on the up and up)

This is what I have so far:

Grey Knights Vanguard Detachment (+1CP)

HQ:

- Paladin Squad (5) (paragon w/ hammer, others w/ falchions and 2 psilencers)

Imperial Guard Battalion Detatchment (+5CP) (Cadian)

- Company Commander (Warlord - Grand Strategist) (Kurov's Aquilla)
- Primaris Psyker (Nightshroud, Psychic Maelstrom)

TROOPS:

Those with a keen eye may have noticed that I have 113 points to spare, and have no idea what to do with them. Any suggestions would be awesome. Please pick this apart as much as you can. Cheers.

What's the aim of the GK?

Honestly, I just want to have a super elite deepstrike bomb, that's also super durable.

Fair enough. If you want a super DS bomb, a Knight Gallant may help to suppress the enemy before you arrive. With the right use of Strategems and Traits you're pretty much guaranteed a first turn charge with it.

do you think that would be more effective than a crusader?

Any suggestion for what to spend the last 100 or so points on?

I'm thinking maybe 12 or so rattlings?

I've always been a fan of the Gallant since it got a good boost in the Codex, if you're missing the Crusader's firepower you could give the Gallant a carapace weapon, but it's not necessary.

As for the 100pts, a couple of Mortar squads will set you back approx. 65, they're one of the most competitive options from what I hear.

Not necessarily better as they're both focussed towards different jobs, it's more the fact that you can get 3D6 S4 shots that re-roll 1's to hit (Cadian) and don't need to see the target, for only 33pts.

How does this revised version look? 2000pts on the nose
