Decided to make my own Darkling Coven Sorceress as whilst I really like the older metal supreme sorceress model, the price of it on ebay was well over £25 from most sources.

So I dug through my bits box and found a spell weaver and a pack of old finecast skulls and a highelf wizard with pheonix.

Add it all together - a bit of greenstuff, a bit of brass for pinning and a 1p coin underneath the base for a bit of counterweight and there we have it!

Still got to clean her up a bit with some greenstuff here and there, but the overall form is there! Any thoughts, critiques or ideas welcome!

I think the leaves on the vines clearly show her origin as a Wood Elf.

I think it would look great if there were thorns instead... But I don't know if this is feasible in a proper and adequate manner.

I do think it would look great once painted in a suitable scheme. Found that dark grey or black vines and blood red leaves have a very dark elven look to them. I do like the count-as. Maybe pain the roots she is standing on as smoke or shadows and the phoenix as a raven and you are set.

Do the leaves as a very deep, dark red/burgundy and stick to typical DE tropes like porcelain skin and jet black hair and I think you easily overcome any Wood Elfy-ness lingering about the model.

Thanks guys! I was thinking on doing the leaves and such in gold, as if it were a decoration on her clothing rather than actual vines and such. The wood lifting her up I was certainly thinking on making into a dark smoke/power effect and mirroring the same effect for the firebird on the other side of the model so that both appear to be rising up from death magic from the skull pile.
