Trying to decide how to paint my Fallen Marine. Armour will be black, of course, but I am having second thoughts on painting the robe bone. The Chest and shoulder icons will be bone, so the robe being crimson would make the model pop a bit more.
I also already have a DA Vet that will have a bone colored robe.

So should I keep the robe bone to match, or red to contrast?

Thanx

The last time I used "Fallen" mine were done in a burlap sack style robe.
Their armour was DA black, daubed with grey streaks (as the fallen separated from the DA when they still wore their original black armour).
The whole "sackcloth and ashes" thing.

Yeah, I'm gonna keep the robes bone colored but put some crimson accents for the chest icon and left shoulder icon and trim. Plus the bolt pistol casing.
So I think it will have enough red.

Having the same colored robe as my DA vet will be a nice tie-in to show they are related.
