Clean and nice job

Looks excellent, except for the blood on the blade. Given the ornate nature of their armor and weaponry, blood stains on the weapon feel counter to who they are. The rest of the model is fantastic though!

I needed to do something with the blade wasn't really sure what so I decided to put blood for the blood good on it because it was shiny and wet and I like the idea of them being fresh into combat so know dirt and grime or damage just making their first kills. But I appreciate the CC so thank you guys.

Totally understand the blade needed something; BftBG just seems out of place. When I painted my friend’s Custodes models, I put lightning effects on the blade like it was a power weapon; Kantor blue, ice blue, thin white scar white line in the middle. Made the blades “pop”. Give it a shot if interested, see if it’s a better fit. Like I said though, even though the BftBG feels out of place, the rest of the model looks incredible.

I'm actually thinking of repainting it as Jade blade might tie it into my shoulder pad colour..

Of course. The detail on mine definitely doesn’t match yours, but hopefully the lightning effect looks worthwhile. This was basically a two-hr paint job for my buddy, start to finish, but he was thrilled. Kantor blue, ice (lothern?) Blue, white scar inside. Thick lines of Kantor, thinner lines of ice inside it, and finish with a very thin line of white. Will give you the lightning look.

Well I decided to go wash leadbelcher with druchii violet and highlight with stormfang silver will put up pics when done.
