Just curious if anyone has had good luck with the Skitarii Rangers/Vanguard that come with the Kill Team box set. If so, have you tried adding Sicarians to them? If you have tried Sicarians, have they made a positive difference in your Kill Team?

Thanks

I've only gotten 3 games of killteam in, but I've done fairly well with a combination of Rust Stalkers with blades and Vanguard. The Vanguard's -1 toughness ability really combines well with the Rust Stalker's ability. The combination really tears up guard since I'm rolling 2+ to wound in melee. Vs Marines its a 3+. The Mortal Wound on 6s for the Rust Stalkers helps alot vs Marine's 3+ armor since my entire killteam - except the heavy - is AP0.

I tied my first game - vs deathwatch. 2nd game was vs Guard, 3rd against Space Marines - both of which I won.

In my opinion Admech need that option to take some Sicarians to be really powerful in Kill Team. Having even 1 Ruststalker or Infiltrator gives you that melee punch that can protect your valuable gunline (plasma, arc rifles, arquebus, etc).

And, again, it's all about the command roster. All you need is 1 box of the Sicarians and you should be able to make a decent combination of weapon loadouts that will get you through just about any mission or matchup!

Any recommendations on Sicarian weapon loadouts for Kill Team?

Thanks

If I bought a box of Sicarians, I'd probably build them like this:

1 Ruststalker Princeps with Transonic Razor and Chordclaw
1 Ruststalker with Transonic Blades
1 Infiltrator Princeps with Taser Goad and Flechette blaster
1 Infiltrator with Stubcarbine and Power Sword

And the last one I'd probably build as a Ruststalker with Transonic Razor and Chordclaw just to double up on the chance to get those juicy mortal wounds.

I'd say you need a box of Sicarians to have a proper killteam for Admech, they give you so many extra options and counter melee better than a melee alpha ever could.

I built mine as 2 ruststalker, princeps blade and claw & regular razor and claw(mortal wounds are king), and 3 Inliftrators, Princeps and reg taser goad and flechette pistol & reg with stub carbine and power sword.

Only one Princeps can be built per box but a little count as and the glueing of the princeps exclusive pieces for the one you didn't build with the cloak should do for most normal games. I'll be getting another box soon enough but thats just to have em usable in regular 40k.

Having played a frew games with skitarii, I can say earnestly that a Ruststalker Princeps is easily worth it's weight. Transonic Blades and Chordclaw with the stratagem can hand out mortal wounds without difficulty. One of my primary opponents runs DG and counter-charging is mandatory. Infiltrators are solid, but depend on match-up as to what loadout to bring to bear. I guess my assessment is the Princeps' are always worthy, the standard troopers much less so.

To echo what has been said, a Ruststalker Princeps (especially zealot/combat specialist) is a savage, especially when Transonic Attunement is used. After getting a charge off, I had mine (zealot) single handedly kill 3 harlequins (half the enemy team) in 2 rounds of combat before he took a fusion pistol in the back.

I prefer Infiltrators myself but yes, Sicarians are a must-have, they're fast, have 2 wounds, shoot a lot and hit hard in CC. You'll need them to discourage blind charges to your lines and lock enemy heavy shooters.
