Hi guys, I'm not even playing this game yet but I was looking around at the Mongoose site and suddenly noticed a fleet I could have sworn wasn't there last week. It's the Dilgar! Those 'nice' harassers of the League of Non-Aligned worlds. If you haven't seen them yet, check out their minis! http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/miniature/army.php?qsArmy=23# Oh, and sorry if this is actually old news.

This game is just TOO cool. I haven't gotten this fanatical about something since 40k.

Were are they going to publish rules for it? IIRC in the fluff the Dilgar were sort of like hairless Kilrathi/Kzinti being feline and genocidal.

Only now do I realize how much I prefer Pete Haines' "misprints" to Gav Thorpe's "brainfarts." :Abadabadoobaddon |

And so it begins..... the game is pretty cool. The models are very cool.... but my complaint about all these games is the constant creep of merchandise. I guess that is why my first love is boardgames...

Hunting Glade Guard

The only episode of B5 in which a live DIlgar appears is "Deathwalker". The last surviving Dilgar Warmaster, Jhadurr, is a biogenetic weapons expert who has been sheltered since the end of the Earth-Dilgar war by a Minbari Warrior Caste clan in exchange for her "expertise". She creates a serum that confers virtual immortality (against disease and old age; catastrophic damage like getting shot by a Vorlon warship will still kill you). Earth offers her sanctuary, but in transit to the jump gate she gets shot by a Vorlon warship and is killed.
The Dilgar are a feline rice, more cat than lion like the Kilrathi. Not too furry.
And as to merchandise creep, yeah, that's a problem for those of us on limited budgets. That's why I try and stick with one army/fleet/force. I have Necrons now but the only other army I've played in 40K is Eldar, and that's going on 15 years now.

I always liked the Dilgar ships way back when AoG first released them. I may pick up one of the cruisers for a display piece sometime.
