So I had one of those stupid moments, I just bought new super glue and I got to the final stage of putting my Chaos Space Marine Champion on it's base, painted and all to be absolutely emmaculate, probably the most detail i've ever put into a figure,
And right when I'm about to put super glue on the base it goes all over my figure, It stuck in all the intricate detail (chain mail) and everything.
So my question is, is there a way to remove super glue while keeping the paint still intact
I am trying my luck with the freezer trick, But is there any other way?
I don't really have enough time after work, to Simple Green it and start over

I know nail polish remover will dissolve super glue but I can't imagine it wouldn't also damage or remove the paint.

If you painted the glue red would it look like he was splattered with blood?

You know about the freezing trick, good.
Short of that, no solvent will take superglue off without harming the paint OR the plastic.

The most common superglue debonder is acetone (common ingredient in nail polish removers) - which eats plastics and strips paint. Yes, you can get acetone-free nail polish removers, but they also strip paint, even if they don't harm the plastics.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Problem with the superglue method is it's used to soften the bond between 2 pieces. This sounds more like it's there obstructing details...I'm affraid nothing gets it out without damaging or more likely removing paint job :-/

you may have to chalk it down to bad luck and start over. one thing you can take away is that after that you'll probably be way more careful and never do it again..

A very fine metal file and some patience is all you can do.

There's no quick or fast solution to this unfortunately, though really you should use a dedicated plastic glue over Superglue, it's not really designed to bond plastic and even if it does, it doesn't do it well.

At least with a proper solvent based plastic glue you will create a welded bond which is stronger and requires much less adhesive.

Though, how did you manage to get that much superglue over the model, more incredibly how are you not stuck to it
