I have bought an deredeo dreadnought but I am at a loss what to use to represent the automatic pavise

I the only pic I have seen uses a piece of a droppod but I can't find it without buying a whole new one https://imgur.com/r/Warhammer30k/eT4LO

Also what would people recommend for something else to put in the empty slot when I am not using it or the missile launcher?

You can usually find the bit you're looking for by scrolling EBay. 40k drop pod, search by cheapest.
Personally I'd use a pair glued together as in that picture it just looks....unfinished.

You could also fill the space with steel bearing or glass marble of the right size. Wich could also double as the pavise.
