Hello everyone!

I am more of a fluff enthousiast than a tournament player, but I'd like to bring my fluffy army to some tournaments while not looking like a joke.

I made a Mechanicus / Iron Hands / Questor Mechanicus soup list that I think is tasty both in terms of background as it is in term of crunch effectiveness.

Thanks for letting me know what you think about it! I have quite a lot of Primaris and Mechanicus units to improve it with. I just don't have Dragoons/Ballistarii (and don't want), nor electro priest or Sicarians.
For Space Marines, I play Primaris-only (which allows me to take 3 times the same troops in our local tournament meta).

About the strategy : Mechanicus is the gunline, Primaris are center objective contesters, while the Knight is a DISTRACTION CARNIFEX that I throw on the biggest enemy and hoping it will make a diversion long enough (it has LEDs lighting, so he should do his work well).

Detachment 1: Adeptus Mechanicus Battalion Detachment

HQ:
Belisarius Cawl [WARLORD, Static Psalm-Code] (240pts)

Onager Dunecrawler: Neutron laser & cognis heavy stubber, heavy stubbe, Broad-spectrum Data-tether (145pts)
Onager Dunecrawler: Icarus Array cognis heavy stubber, Broad-spectrum Data-tether (135pts)

Detachment 2: Space Marines Battalion Detachment
Chapter tactics: Iron Hands

HQ:
Captain on Gravis Armor: Boltstorm gauntlet, Mastercrafter Powersword (134pts)
Primaris Librarian: Force sword (101pts) [RELIC] The Armour Indomitus

Troops:
5 Intercessor Marines: Bolt rifles (90 pts)
5 Intercessor Marines: Bolt rifles (90 pts)

Thanks for reading, and thanks for your advices!

Could you add two armigers?

I don't own Armigers, but in my mind they were quite overcosted for what they do.

Never seen them in game (even as enemies). Do they perform good ? And what could they replace in my list ?

They perform pretty well, and you'd have an extra 3 cp. Maybe the dreadnought and an onager?

That could work really good! It gives me an idea :

=> Removing the Redemptor Dreadnought and BOTH Onagers
=> Adding 2 Armigers to the Gallant, getting CPs and making an even bigger distraction (+ additional AP power)
=> Adding 2 additional Kastelans, making it 4 in total, which in combination with Cawl and the extra CP, can make an even stronger Mars deathball. More distraction means more survivability for them.

That sounds really powerful, even though I'd have only barebone infantry for my 6 Troops selection. Sounds pretty fun to play, though !

If you replaced marines with guard, you'd have a legit tournament list at that point. But yeah, I like it
