I was debating running my assorted Eldar as Ynnari just to freshen up the game a bit, and was wondering if anyone had any fun, even if unoptimized, Ynnari tricks, or units worth trying? I'm thinking Ynnari Harlequinn might be a fun place for me to start. I'm looking to avoid the Shining Spears, Reapers, typical picks.

On the Ynnari topic, do Psykers get to take spells from their respective books, even in Ynnari lists? Do Shadowseers, for example get to pick Harley spells? Ditto on Relics, etc?

Ynnari Harlequin jetbikes with haywire cannons are borderline broken.

Combined with Ancestor's Grace, Word of the Phoenix, and Doom, a full squad of 6 bikes can ace any vehicle in the game (aside from full-size titans) from 100% to 0% in a single turn just from sheer mortal wounds (about 32 MW on average with the mentioned psychic powers)

Alternately, this same unit can put out 12D6 Str 4 Ap-1 shots to mow down hordes.

Each bike is T4, 3 wounds, 4++ invul and a base -1 to hit which can be boosted to -2 with Lightning Reflexes stratagem.

They are fast as hell, being able to fly across the board with the help of Twilight Pathways to apply their firepower.

On top of this crazy firepower, speed and durability, you can also give them Zephyrblades to make them quite good in close combat as well.

Truly a unit that can do almost anything.

Slobulous, I actually am building/painting ten right now and had the same thought, which prompted this thread. I thought they'd be a good investment in any meta moving towards hordes.

So, is it fair to say Harleys in an Ynnari detachment can use their strats?

Yeah you can but you lose the important Rising Crescendo trait.

Well, I'd like to have a discussion about the tactical primitives of a Ynnari army which make use of SfD. Two basic are quite obvious:

1) Large unit of Dark Reapers and Yvraine making the Reapers shoot twice due to her psychic power.

2) Shooting an enemy unit by the Dark Reapers. Have a unit of Shining Spears to trigger SfD after a unit shot dies.

Question- I'm new to eldar and would like to know where you find the Ynnari stats and rules. Do you still use the index or are the rules in a Codex somewhere?

So, I'm new to eldar and especially Ynnari trickery. Also, I love wraith units. I have 2 sets of wraithguard/wraithblades and a couple wraithlords. I was looking over the Ynnari and I noticed something that could possibly be a fun tactic for my two wraith guard units. My list is based off of a couple assuptions that I have no clue if they are true or not. First assumption is that I can use the stratagems used in the eldar codex, specifically the webway deepstrike stratagem and the matchless agility auto 6'' advance. The second assumption is that I can even take wraith units with the Ynnari. Like I said, I don't know a whole lot about eldar yet. My list would involve a wraithseer+bonesinger+that psychic eldar lady in the backfield. There would also be a squad of shining spears but the main units that I want to focus on are the two squads of wraithguard. Sadly, they tend to die before they make it up the table.

My theoretical strategy is this, webway one squad of wraithguard and a little Ynnari trickery with the other squad. Turn one, can I move, advance with matchless agility, Psychic soulburst, move, advance with matchless agility (it's a different phase so I can do that right?), and then I can charge in the charge phase for a possible first turn assault. I believe that is a potential threat range of 34 but average threat range of 25 or so. What are your guys thoughts on that? Is that even legal in matched play? What improvements or changes would you guys make to my list?

As for all my eldar models, I have 9 jetbikes, 10 guardians w/platform, 5 dire avengers, wave serpent, 2 wraithlords (I tend to proxy one as a wraithseer), 10 wraithguard/wraithblades, 1 farseer, bonesinger, 5 warlocks.
