Hey, looking at starting a newer army to replace my eldar and I've always enjoyed terminators, which is why I've chosen between either Grey Knights or Space Wolves.
Just a quick mention, this is my first post (and army list)!

I've been playing at my FLGS for years now and came back with a different army every year - Dark Angels, Eldar, Tyranids, Ultra Marines, CSM, etc, and I've found I much prefer the slower, tougher terminators over the speed and swarms of the Eldar and Tyranids, meaning I'm starting ANOTHER army to freshen the experience of playing SM whilst still retaining terminator style play.


Note: Any other army suggestions with a similar playstyle is welcome!


(In my FLGS we are currently following a 1xHQ, 1xTroop/Elite and 1xAnything aslong as it's within 500 Points for quick 30-90 minute matches)
My spacewolves list currently looks something like this:

HQ: Arjac Rockfist

Troop/Elite: 5xWolfguard Terminators w/ 3xChain fist, 1xFrost Sword, 1xFrost Axe, 4xStorm Bolter, 1xAssault Cannon

Extra: 10xFenrisian Wolves


I'm pretty sure this list rounds off at 497 points altogether -

267 Points for 5 Wolfguard Terminators with the gear listed above.
230 Points for Arjac + 10 Fenrisian Wolves

My idea is to just shield Arjac (In particular) as he runs up the (small) board. once he's met with the enemies, I'll teleport my wolfguard in and move them into 6" range of his buffs and proceed fire my assault weapons before charging. With their high attacks combined with their high strength/AP weapons and decent WS, most units will crumple considering a 500 point army can't take much to counter without overspeccing, which isn't common in my FLGS. (Note: Morale is ignored in these small matches)

Is this correct and have I taken everything into account when making this list?
Also, are there any improvements/suggestions I could make without breaching the points limit?
And, are there any other armies that could do what this is doing with better points efficiency, if so, what army is it and what would you recommend from it?

That certainly is an odd list building format, it encourages larger "death star" type lists. Why not go for some sort of synergetic combo involving auras and psychic powers?

Why not run your terminators with
X5 power fist and 4 storm bolters and 1 assualt cannon

I know that power fist are only -3 and d3 damage compared to
-4 damage 2

They are cheaper than chain fist with similar profile and with the exstra point you can take a company ancient or more wolves
