Welp, I finished my first Creature Caster mini today, and I have to say I'm really impressed. I know CC had... let's say, a rough start, but whatever QC issues there may have been early on are gone now. This and the other model I bought (King of War) are really well cast with sharp detail in quality resin, parts fit is for the most part excellent, and let's face it, a kit this size would cost like twice as much if it was from Forgeworld and you'd be filling gaps for a week. This was just a pleasure to work with, all around.

More pics in my gallery.

Great work! The gloss coat on the entrails really makes them pop!

The belt looks a bit strange, neither leather nor skin nor guts.
I'd consider using some satin or less generously applied gloss on skin or leather to break up the huge area of matt value a bit.

You know, I really don't know what it is about these pictures, but the armor around his belly honestly doesn't look this flat in real life. Something about how I adjusted the color values must have flattened out the shadows, and I didn't notice.

I do think I should've done a bit more to give the armor parts a more rust-like texture to sell the difference in material, like you say, but it looks more convincing than in these pics. Sigh. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.
