Alright, new to Age of Sigmar.

After painting a bunch of Lizardmen for fun I started looking over the AoS factions and realized that Sigmar have a faction that combined Naval forces, big guns, in’ beards, and some cool swashbuckling themes all wrapped up in a short package. So after going through the general’s handbook 2018, I decided I was going to make a test list out based off of models I want to build/paint.

Spoiler:

Kharadron/Fyre Slayer 2k point pitched battle army list

Grundstok Thunderers x5 - 100
Grundstok Thunderers x5 - 100

Arkanaut Frigate - 240
Arkanaut Frigate - 240
Arkanaut Frigate - 240

Allied Detachment of Fyre Slayers
Battle Line: Vulkite Berzerkers x30 - 360

Posting this from my phone so please excuse the formatting.

The plan is to use the Zerkers as a big block to press forward and collide with the enemy line while being supported by the thunderers, aether khemists and a frigate. The remaining two frigates will load up on arkanauts and go cap objectives and take pot shots at the enemy.

Hi,

Pretty late, but maybe better than never.

The ships and the single squad company can be lackluster on the field. Allied large vulkite units are always solid.

My suggestion would be to drop two frigates. The add 20 more arkanauts to one squad with sky hooks. 9 khemist buffed hooks are pretty potent. That can act like you main home firebase, which I'm guessing your thunderers are meant to be now.

For what next two options.
Could wrap double the size of the two thunderer squads to 10 each and put one in frigate.
Or what might be a better alternative is to take 6 endrinriggers. And id still put the thunderers in the frigate but leave them as 2*5. The endrinriggers can be great support to the vulkites. The vulkites provide the durability, and the riggers the hard hit. Then youve got two units good for khemist buff, large arkanaut and riggers squad.

Thryng is, pretty decent, zilfin and lately morhnar are popular but i like thryng. With Thyrng, arkanauts get 3+/3+ re roll 1s against the main big baddies (heroes and monsters you choose) and riggers nearly autowound a grudges target.

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

The easy way is always mined
