I didn't like the hunched-over pose, so I changed it. I opened up the abdomen joint, rotated the head socket 90 degrees and added a Carnifex plate to extend the carapace. The crushing claws looked too short so I added them to the longer legs. I haven't figured out a good way to attach the gun without it rotating (magnets are great for sticking - rotating, not so much) so I wouldn't mind suggestions for that.

Thoughts?

I've used a thin layer of something that provides friction (something gritty, like fine sand, in a bit of glue or even just the glue with a bit of scuffing) on each magnet, which works in a pinch, but the best is either using two smaller magnets or adding an offset pin that prevents the rotation. Pinning is the most stable, but the most annoying to put together.

I like how it mirrors the carnifex posture, but it does look a little gangly as is. The big honking gun might fix that, though, as it's not a subtle piece of bio-weaponry.

I would look outside of the Tyrannofex kit to convert a different pose. The legs are too thin and the body to long and front heavy to look right in any other pose.

As an example of going outside the kit look at my Exocrine.

Head and torso are carnifex, front legs are tfex walking legs with an extra joint made from a large pair of scy tal. Rear legs are toxicrene. Tail from a harpy. Bioplasmic cannon made from the tfex kit. Blades on tail and head came from Tyrant Guard Scytal hands. Venom sacs for the eyes on the gun.

Tyranid bits mash together REALLY well with just a little bit of green stuff to smooth out the edges.

Consider what kind of profile and scale you want to go for, find bits that match that and use them in a mash up to make it your own.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.
