So I felt I needed to make a thread about this. For those that don't know battle brothers is a neat little game about controlling a mercenary company in a low fantasy medieval setting. Battle brothers came out quite some time ago and recently got a quite extensive beast and exploration DLC. This added content to all stages of the game. Now the devs are pushing themselves for....

Now why I wanted to raise a little bit of awarness about this is the two following updates they added on steam.

1st: https://steamcommunity.com/games/365360/announcements/detail/1727596629137613720

2nd: https://steamcommunity.com/games/365360/announcements/detail/3539170599597803689

What is being added is a company origin story. So far Cultists, Militia, Raiders (vikikngs) and Lone wolf (Hedge knight) has been anounced. What's intresting is that it affects the game mechanics for the entire run. militia background for instance can never hire noble born characters and give you a possibility of 18 brothers in the field with a total of 27 (instead of 12-24). The reason I think this is amazing is that it's an example of exactly how DLC should be handled. Not only do they add content, they also allow you to have radically different experiences every time you play the game. The DLC is planned to add replayability as well as expand. I hope other developers take note of this and I'm following it with interest.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.

I am so excited for this! I can't wait for it to come out, or at least for us to get a release date. This company is really great at building hype.

And the game is just full of unique interactions and surprises. Some guy stopped me in town, looking for the finger of a wicked man. No big deal, I've beaten people up for them, sent a thief to steal them, it's old hat. But then my butcher offered to get it, if we could split the prize. You go for it.

The maniac lops his own finger off, and gives it to the merchant, promising it's the finger of a very wicked man indeed. I've been cackling about it off and on every time I boot up the game.

So yeah, this will be a day one purchase for me.
