Hey everyone,

After looking to get back into the hobby and scouring eBay, I found loads of poor neglected models out there. This made me sad.

So, I did what any decent human would do and bid the lowest I could to buy the poor souls on the cheap!

I’ll keep updating this thread with progress pictures as I tinker away and, all being well, bring them back from the brink.

First up is a kit-bashed squad of Grey Knights. My reasoning for this lot was that I wanted to get my wife into Kill Team, but didn’t want to splash out for a brand new team for her to then not like it. If she does like it, then what better wedding anniversary present than a box fresh squad?!

Here’s the picture from the listing:

And after they’ve had the paint stripped:

Next up is to get rid of sprue cuttings and mould lines, then prime them.

But that’s as far as i’ve got so far, thanks for looking,

Funky.

Good on you - the Grey Knights are eternally to you for saving this squad!

A quick update to the knights.

I finished tidying them up and have managed to get them primed, ready for a coat of silver.

I decided to only keep these 5 once I spent some time looking at them. They look the most “original” and fit together the best.

And while I was at it, I found 2 squads of dire avengers and a squad of guardians that needed some TLC. So I picked them up and I am already thinking of making them into a Craftworld mymeara kill Team.

They’ll be off for a bath in some dettol this weekend to get all the old paint off.
