While on working on an army to not get bored i thought i'd switch sometimes to my second. Which is... unknown. I want a zerg based one with many options of beasts and infantry mixes. And strong. New Skaven are cool but...

Rat zerg + blowing your shoot magines yourself...
Something like LoN, Skelly respawn based strong beast demons...
Then fluff wise my favs, goblins... Seen setups i loved mixing grots + mounted git beast + ogre like beasts win, not only win by zerging..

I HATE how when armies are diverse they just split in choices so you can't play what you want... This got better in Skaven. I don't know grots, can example a ClassicFun goblin catapult be put in your setup? Even not gaining the battalion bonus etc.

Watcha think.

The new goblin book does not have any classic-fun catapults. However the new goblin book has recycling units, but they actually made it sane so you only get half of the unit respawned and additionally they can only respawn once, not infinitely.

So based on that I'm not sure (since you stress strong, which I take to mean OP competitive) if that would be something you'd want.

Though nothing stops you from fielding the catapults as allies I dn't think.

That's OP as fk... skellies(and some others) are nightmare for respawn so it's fair i guess

I hate FOTM and IMBA gak i just want to win enough matches to not shelf them... Ik with Skaven and LoN they're factors. Grots i'm not sure, and playing for fun is fun until you get enough of it,

Non related: Which army you consider best at 2k points?

If you go by tournament winnings, the best army is a toss-up between Daughters of Khaine, and Legions of Nagash.

On another note, Skaven merely have the option of potentially blowing themselves up. You are not forced to use the high-powered options for their missile attacks, though it's often the best choice. Warp Lightning Cannon is the most likely to damage itself with it's Overcharge, just with the way that dice work out.

Everything else, like Doomwheel and Ratling Guns, they have a 1/36 chance of harming/exploding themselves.

On characters, I rarely, if at all, use their overcharging options.

For a horde army that's well balanced, isn't a slog to play with and can be a contender in casual Local Game Store matches, Gloomspite Gits seem to be a good choice for what you want.
Same with Skaven, as you can have your hordes of rats, and you can have your Flesh abomination monsters, or Skryre tech or, well any way you want to build the army really.

Skaven - 4500
OBR - 4250
- 6800
- 4250
- 2750

I got some goblins and and a troll

I really want to know if there are batallions for 2k matches that do not involve 60+ grots (nets/spears.). Actually saw a BR with sworded grots... you lose the spear second row damage?!

Actually using half the points on Characters, magic or bests, the amazing mounted big spiders, gitz hopers ore mastered ones...

The spell needing the Tree mini that you recover half dead gobs, is it when 50% or on a battalion? This would benefit... Zerg...

Edit: No sight on recent BRs of gobs on spiders. They must really suck, And look clonish bad. :|

EDIT2: Old Rules

" Wanna make them brutal? Alright. Take at least 20 of them (or 40 and even more if you want to go nuts), give the first rank nets, the rest of them Pokin' Spears and shield, and put both the Bad Moon Icon and the Grot Flag in them. You now have a Battleline unit that, at 240 points for 40 guys, has the equivalent of a 4+ save both outside combat and inside it (at least against frontal charges), and attacks with three ranks (even if you choose not to ignore them, bases for grots are 20mm, and spears have 2" range). When you take losses, retire spear minis from the last ranks to avoid losing net grots. You can say that the net guys throw them, then go inside the unit to be protected by their shielded mates, exactly like the Romans and other peoples did in ancient times. "

https://youtu.be/0EjG7LyCVFw?t=3647 This is the 2nd BR i've seen with new grotz (non zerged ones), both so coolio both wins.

If you can give me some important changes in new codex do tell.

Lastly i'm not buying grots since the market must have so many its cheaper than glue. Even fantasy ones (2nd edition ones) were non "clones", customized pieces, weapons fanatics (old mate had it), i'll go for markets.

Hence thereforth i'm pleased! Any actuall goblin in the house? (doubt)

I think i'm getting cheap af 60 grots, my spray can and greens puts them clean and done. Problem is the beasts and spiders

About infantry: What ratio ofnets/spears/swordsto buy?? I saw in a BReport done like this: 1st row fighters, 2nd spears, thirdnets, then remove from the back. Is this correct?

So 50%50% nets\spears (2nd & 3rd row but stay there) and the 1st row AND horde behind regiment is just more and more fighters? Shield involved matters...
