I know it's not an egregious offence, I was just wondering if it's an offence at all. Also, if it is an offence, is it acceptable to use the report button to suggest it should be moved? I see threads all the time that don't seem to belong where they are, and I always have a strong urge to move them, but I often hesitate, because it's not like they're hurting anyone. Is it OK to start reporting these threads or would that be an abuse of the report tool? Also, I mean I'd be inclined to use it a lot, but I don't want to be known to the mods as a pain in the neck.

40k background threads should go in the 40k background forum. So yes, please hit the mod alert button and tell us that a thread is in the wrong place. Its not a case of hurting anyone or not just that threads belong in the right section!

Think of failing to report them for being moved as "hurting the people that want to read 40K background, and are deprived of misplaced content"

What he said. Often there will be posters who post a thread and are uncertain where to post it. Just report it and a mod will review and move if its more appropriate in another location. Its not a big deal.

We love moving threads. Please always report when you think a thread belongs somewhere else.
