I'm trying to improve my storage trays that I've been 3D printing. I've beveled the inside slightly to stop the printer from bridging w/o supports. It was causing the 'T' bracket to be a bit weak. however after printing a test print I had to make some tweaks as the base would no longer slide in. So I grabbed my Digital Caliper and made the following measurements.
BD= Base Diameter TD=Top Diameter
25mm Slotta: BD:24.5mm TD:23.5mm H:3.3mm
25mm Tooth & Claw Slotta: BD:24.5 TD: 23.5mm H:3.3
25mm Assault on Black Reach: BD:24.5 TD:23mm H:3.3mm
25mm Storm Claw: BD:24.1mm TD: 23mm H:3.3mm
32mm Tooth & Claw: BD:32mm TD:29mm H:4mm
40mm Tooth & Claw: BD:39mm TD:37mm H:4mm
40mm Terminator: BD:39mm TD:37mm H:4mm
40mm Assault on Black Reach: BD:38mm TD: 36.5mm H: 4mm
60mm Thunderwolf: BD:64mm TD:61.5 H:3.3mm
I tested the Caliper against several rulers and it is accurate, although there obviously can be some user error here. Now I knew about the "60mm" as I made a tray for my Thunderwolves and to my surprise the base is actually larger than 60mm. I tested 5 of each base with the same results.
It is disturbing on the lack of consistency.
