So, after a very disappointing run into Hyperspace with "Danger Zone" (Resistance, Poe/Lu'lo/Nien Nunb), I've decided to go back to my old love of Rebels.

This is the core of the list:
"Dutch" Vander (39)
Ion Cannon Turret (4)
R3 Astromech (3)
Veteran Turret Gunner (6)

Ship total: 52 Half Points: 26 Threshold: 4

Wedge Antilles (52)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)

Ship total: 52 Half Points: 26 Threshold: 3

Cassian Andor (47)
Leia Organa (2)
Tactical Officer (2)
Pivot Wing (0)

Ship total: 51 Half Points: 26 Threshold: 4

Total: 155

I am not worried about a bid so much, as I had a bid and won initiative in all of my games and it was... almost useless?

So I am down to 45 points, and am waffling between these choices:

1)A bog standard U-Wing with a tactical officer. Brick of hit points. Coordinating goodness to boost Wedge and Dutch. But manoeuvres like said brick and rather easy to fly around, especially after Leia bites the dust.

2)A basic Blue Squadron Escot X-Wing. Not as many hit points as the above choice... but oh so very more manoeuvrable. I figure, what's the use of hit points if all you are is a target? But will fall to concentrated fire faster than the brick above.

3)... Norra Wexley. If you stick her right in there, she can be surprisingly survivable. I have enough points to outfit her with an ion turret . I might have decided to go with the dorsal... but it is not Hyperspace. And the potential to ionize two targets might be enough to capitalize on my opponents moves to pound him (especially if I can Leia on that turn and be behind those ships, properly positioned and tokened for an attack) I love me some Norra. So really, if she is a bad choice I need you guys to tell me honestly.

I tried an A-Wing of various loadouts, but they just don't punch enough to really matter.

First thought that came into my head was a B-wing... which of course is not one of your options!

How do invision flying the list? I presume pretty close formation to leevrage the coordinate and ability to capatilise on ioned ships?

Absolutely. I tried sending my A-Wing wide and forward, and it would always end up being targeted too early. If I kept it with the group, it felt awkward, and was still a favourite target.

I love myself a B-Wing.I just don't think they are there at the moment. the single evade dice. Their abilities also work off of stress, which the rest of this list mitigates... and the ship is a bit short-legged, even compared to a Y-Wing. Weird, I know. Plus I would have to strip something else from the list, either the droid or the tactical officer to fit Ten Nunb. And I think I'm going into diminishing returns. If it's down to a basic B-Wing and a basic X-Wing, I'd rather go X-Wing.

Um, my vote would go to Norra then, the extra Ion could make all the difference (ioning two ships or a medium base pretty reliably). I am not much of a fan of hers I would have to say but with the list as is it is a good spread of Initiatives and the highest enemy priority target should really be Wedge. Its a mountain of hit points for your enemy to chew through but I do question how well you will be able to deal damage yourself.

Her point is to position the enemy in order for the rest of your list to deal damage. Or do a single damage and not ionize a damn thing. Which, you know... is kinda my thing, apparently.

You are not alone... That's why I only fly ships that can get multiple mods or extra dice nowadays!

So I played two games yesterday with the Norra list.

1)Norra wants to be stuck in, so she benefits more from the VTG (it also spreads the points more evenly)

2)The list is the bane of Jedi starfighters. They just get wrecked by too many attacks coming their way.

3)Proton Torpedoes are my bane. It's insane want those can do to 1 die defence.

Ion occasionally works, after all.
