To be clear, I mean models of flames, not techniques for painting flames (though I suppose that would be helpful too eventually).
Gouts of flames coming out of a burna or skorcha, flames of various sizes flickering on surfaces, things like that.
Any leads on a good source for model bits like this? Tried searching around online and I think my search terms weren't quite right.

Ah, yes, that sort of thing, couldn't remember the company I had found before, thank you.
Not that other recommendations aren't also welcome, but that's a great example of the sort of thing I was looking for.

I have always wanted to see some Legion of the Damned modeled with flame effects instead of flames just painted on. It would look so much more bad ass.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Many gw models comes with flames rendered in plastic. Try searching on bits websites.

I’ve found the Endless Spells flaming bull thing from Games Workshop really useful for flames. I cut them off the back end when needed. Also the unnamed avatar can be cut down to component flames bits quite successfully.

Acrylic Putty, preferable from an artist shop
for small flames it can get directly on the model, for larger stuff you need several layers or a different underground/base material
not the best picture but used it for flames in tzeentch daemons
