Hi Guys.
Been painting a 2000pts. Ork army.
It was painted almost entirely within 2 months and I had to hurry a bit with the bases. They where all painted a brown sand like colour.
Now i am thinking about redoing most of the bases but cannot deside what style i want.
These are some of my characters. And They all represent different styles of bases.

What base style do you Guys think fit the models best?

Sand/ brown style


Rock style with old school mushrooms


Rusty scrapyard style

Rock style with old school mushrooms would be my choice.

why make a choise, al 3 can be used in the same army gives some more flavor to your army

Exactly this. It adds variety but also still looks similar enough for your army to look right

I have indeed used all of them in the same army so far. And have used the sand version (like the one on the painboy) for the most part of my infantry.
I feel like the army needs more uniform bases because the models have loads of different colours. I dont really want orks in uniform colours but I feel that maybe the bases can give the army a more uniform feel..

I understand what you are saying. But they do look awesome with the variations how they are now. Maybe if you went for 1 certain type of base, and instead of having them completely different like in your 3 pictures you posted, how about just small differences like for e.g different colored mushrooms, or maybe more mushrooms on some then others etc etc so there is still that uniformness but not too much..


Any way i love your army looks fantastic!
