I find something off-putting about the thin but basically normal looking protagonist(?) with a completely emaciated midriff. Like, not just in a progressive criticism of objectification etc. way, but a more basic "that's not how bodies work, and their idea of sexy looks kinda creepy in how unnatural it is" kind of way.

I guess there were comics to begin with, but wearing their influences so transparently also just emphasizes how derivative their setting looks.
