The Faceless is a neat game with some really interesting miniatures.

The player token is a compass, and all of the miniatures have magnets in them to manipulate what direction the compass points. When the players move, they have to follow the compass direction.

It is a really neat game, and most of the minis are little double sided dioramas (they have one side that’s a poor child about to be abducted by a monster, and the other side is the creepy little chimera that he turns them into).

Anyway, here are the minis I painted:

Oh cool! What scale are these? The colour palette really fits the creepy children's book illustration vibe ...!

They're pretty tiny (smaller than most of the Chibis I paint)

Since they're all children, I'm not totally sure what scale they are.

Wow, that's all quite creepy! Your paint jobs are very nice, they really work well both for the children and for the creatures on the other side. The flames on the bases are a nice touch.

Thanks. The flames are actually there as a gameplay aid (in the game, each of the children has a color associated with them, and the flames on one side make it super easy to tell which direction the magnets are facing at a glance).

The game comes with base rings that do this, but I found that they were way too bright and clashed with the painting style I used here.

When I painted my Ghostbusters board game miniatures, I painted the original plastic color back onto the base rims for that purpose... but your version is cooler.

Thanks.

I've got a friend that did black or red rimmed bases on his Imperial Assault set (red designates elite units).

There's always a fight for me to choose whether to favor playability or beauty, you know? So I tried to find something that does both.
