I'm painting up my Death Guard and decided I want to start incorporating more violet and light blue shades into my work.

Does anyone have examples of this? Possibly has anyone done a "Drowned" Nurgle theme that might make use of the purple and blue shades?

Check out beskepascal on Instagram. He does DG that are a light blue in colour. You could take that theme and shade it with a voilet for a nice effect.
