Hello all, I was wondering what would be the best way of cutting out the little rectangular vision slits on the baneblade upper hull? I'd like to clear those out to place a clear layer of plastic instead with LED lighting behind. The plastic itself is pretty thick since it's going through the angled armor of the upper hull and I don't know if an xacto knife would do the job.

Perhaps using a pinvice to drill out most of the material then cleaning up the rest with the knife would be easier? And probably give you a cleaner job too.

Well your post inspired me to realize the easy solution: make the plastic thinner. Drilled a large hole from behind, right about to the outside of the slit, then cut out the much shallower plastic with a knife.
