Long story short. Bought nightbringer 2nd handed. Seller screwed with address causing huge delay and 3 days before post figured correct address they sent it back. Meanwhile having lost contact with seller and packet not coming I thought nightbringer lost(didn't feel scam but figured finnish post office was the usual bad) and ordered new one from GW along with doomsday ark.

GW sent order and then things with 2ndhand night bringer got sorted and it's coming back again(That's one travelling c'tan!)...So I'll be next week holding TWO nightbringer model.

2nd hand thing I keep. For one it's metal, for 2nd don't want to bother him more. He's basically losing money due to 2 shippings anyway. GW one I considered I could return but that would likely be postage on my price, that could get expensive back to england(could I post it to GW Finland?) so...yeah that doesn't seem that cost efficient. I might end up paying like 20 euro's to send back this 31 euro model.

So...Plan B. Could it be possible to convert decent transcendant c'tan model out of it? Should be different enough that if both are on field easy enough to different. Obviously colour scheme is going to be different. Scythe off for sure. Other ideas? New head(which?).

Transcendant c'tan model could be cool addition to the force on it's own so it would not feel like waste of money after all.

Suggestions?

I’d change the head for starters. It shouldn’t be too hard to cut of the hood on the resin GW fig. The forgeworld Transcendant has flowing energy Spikey bits, should something like a Sylvaneth head work?

Finally, go for a very different colour. Dark blue, grey, purple for the night bringer, bright yellow/ fading to green for the Transcendant.

Broken shackles. Or just technology shackles and restraints. I always like the idea that these fragments of physical gods are slaves of the crons. Play that up. Bind the hands in techno versions of full hand shackles. Bind the mouth with a collar. Stick a triarch ankh on the chest.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Yeah head i had been thinking as well as it should change appearance nicely. I'll look into sylvaneth heads. Thanks

For colours nightbringer i'm trying to paint skin that goes from blue to white indeed with galaxy patterned black coat. Differing colour scheme for transcendent is good one.

edit: Bunch of necron and wood elf bits ordered. Let's see how this goes.

Okay got the resin nightbringer. Also got durthu head...but looks bit...big? The original head would become neck but...feels too big. Do like style though. Open mouth with glowing fire sounds cool...

Other head suggestions?
