I would really like to include some tauros venators in my Tallarn army, yet this model is not sold by Forgeworld any more. I have to admit, that I was a bit naive and bought one from russia, before understanding the concept of recasts. It turned out OK, but I don't want to support these copyright violation stuff. Therefore my question: does something like "autorized recasters" exist? So companies that payd Forgeworld and produce models legally?

There are companies that make minis that can be good stand ins but there are no other companies that are legally allowed to reproduce GW's minis.

The fact you got them from Russia should have been your first clue...

Regarding the impossibility to get legal models: that's really sad. I like the Venator.

Besides that a related question: since you can find from time to time people on ebay selling old, painted models: has any of you experience with removing the paint from Forgeworlds resin Kits? How bad would the result be, if I could find already painted Tauros Venators and removed the colors using paint thinner? Would this kill the details?

For resin paint stripping I believe you need simple green. There are many threads dedicated to stripping so maybe search those.
