So tell me, is Epic the best way to play large scale battles in X-Wing? If so, what's the max number of points you wanna go for if you enjoy sprawling space battles? While it is nice that you can play the C-ROC in CIS lists, I wouldn't mind it if the Seps got their own huge ship for this game. I would also like to see the factions get more than just one type of huge ship. The Rebels could field a Nebulon-B Frigate and an MC30c Frigate while the Imperials could field a Gladiator-class Star Destroyer, for example. Either way, I'm looking forward to whatever announcements are in store for Star Wars wargames this coming Tuesday.
Nebulon would be the size of the 3x3 table. But if there's bigger corvette like ships could be interesting. At the moment, I'm just going to get the conversion kit. But I'm most excited about mission play coming back. I loved the missions in 1.0 and hated it when they stopped putting them in the boxes.
My beloved 40K armies:
Children of Stirba
Order of Saint Pan Thera
Perfect timing amazon we’re selling the original croc set for £14.99 which I picked up just before the announcement.
Your last point is especially laughable and comical, because not only the 7th ed Valkyrie shown dumber things (like being able to throw the troopers without parachutes out of its hatches, no harm done) - Irbis
Some interesting stuff and seems like FFG are doing a good job of adding flavour to the format whilst making the damage deck have real impact and the new movement tool being shown off.
Also cards;
At less than 200pts these things are looking pretty scary, love the way the titles actually make the ships work totally differently. If this is kept up through all the other expansions then I am really happy with how epic is looking.
Dissapointing to hear that Worlds Epic event was "take everything you have" and that was it. Guess there is a delay in the process (again) as there was supposed to be a splash release as well.
