So, in a mid-day delirium, I ordered a Repulsor Executioner for my retromarines, because it's a big tank and I like big tanks.
Problem: The thing looks like a cinderblock rolled in lego bricks.
Solution: round that sucker out, cold war style!

I sanded down the beveled edges to fit more with my 1950's army aesthetic, and replaced the turret with part of a kharadron airship-orb. I tried to consolidate the weapon systems a bit as well, because jesus they're all over the place. Mounted the gatlinggun in the hull, the stormbolters to the turret/rear (seriously, censored.gif kind of AA mount are the icarus stubbers supposed to be?) and then used a dunecrawler rocket pod to counts-as everything else (heavy bolters, fragstorm launchers, stubbers)

Looking really good! I'm digging the Soviet-style turret and the consolidation of weapons was a good call. The turret does seem a little busy with all the details compared to the hull, though (Overlord steam/industrial aesthetic comared to the smoother Astartes look). On the whole, though, really enjoying this and looking forward to seeing where you go with it from here.

Good call, I might take off some of the rivets on the turret to streamline it a bit more. There's also a couple holes I can fill up as well.
Detail density on the hull should go up as well once I put on the hover-plates and equipment stowage on the sides.

I like the conversion but the regular kit iis one of the best looking models I've put together and the turret is the best part IMO - this is missing that turret!
