Has anyone tried this? I find that when I'm painting large areas contrast paints occasionally will thicken up on my palette before I've finished. I was wondering if anyone's had any success with a wet palette given that contrast paints don't respond well to thinning with water.

honestly, I dip straight into the pot, then I brush excess off on the sides, and if I still feel like there is still too much paint on the brush, then I brush it onto a dry palette. Hasn't steered me wrong yet.

Finally did this today and it’s worth the effort.
