I'm about to join a 30k meta with three other players, two of which have Land Raiders and at least one other has around a dozen dreadnoughts. At least one has a knight, but I think all three do. I'm about to start Ultrasmurfs, but all I have at the moment are infantry (tons of basic tacs, some recon, some Assault, some Terminators, some Heavy Weapons, a Company Command squad, and a few Praetors/Centurions) and a couple Rhinos. I'll need some form of vehicle or Dread, but I don't want to deal with a bad quality Forgeworld model that would require a lot of effort to fix.

Any suggestions for something good for Ultras that won't require too much effort to fix the model?

Lightning is a pretty common grav for doing some AT work, it’s a good kit as well.

Legion Medusa tanks can mess with vehicles and knights since barrage always hits side armor which screws with flare shields and usually knight players will have their front side facing your troops for better AV resilience.

Also don’t overlook the humble vindicator, and vindicator Destroyer.

Rapiers with shatter shells upgrade and Javelins with lots of missiles is always quite cheap and dependable to open vehicles (except Spartan but that is a different kind of beast).

Remember to have a good unit for combat in case something tough reaches your lines.

If you want Ultras you just have to convert Fulmentarus Terminators. If you attach Roboute and put him at front of the unit he can tank most of the incoming fire because its a costly unit.

Maybe fortifications could be the way to go?
