Portland

I'm from a small town with no Games Workshop stores. My home town just had an always empty hobby section at Walmart, and 1 unfriendly elitist card shop. The only cool things to do are MTG nights at a Starbucks or someone's house. I moved to Portland a while ago. I had the intention of starting my army when I first got here, but work and life didn't let that happen. My best friend, and fellow 40k fan, recently moved in with me. I'm a huge fan of the World Eaters, and him the Orks. Now that we are both here, we are jumping in the deep-in of the hobby. We both have 20 yrs of the fluff fandom. We both have most of the Heresy read, and are huge fans of the old THQ games.

All the New CSM made me finally start collecting. I was starting from 0 and I have no interest in the old kits to make my fav troops. Sonics, Berserkers, Chosen, Fallen, etc. Chaos has a gakload of Infantry variations! A lot of them have an ancient kit So decided kitbashing was the way to go. Got as many great midnight Ebays deals as the wife would tolerate.

Boyz...I defiantly did the typical "30 yr with a full-time job" and went WAY overboard on the plastic. People talk about a "pile of shame"...I have a mountain. I'm Joking, I got an outstanding deal and jumped on a bunch of boxes. Shadowspear box sets and Dark Imperium etc. I even eBay hunted down a crazy deal on Renegade Knights and Dark Vengeance. I had done all that with the intention of selling the leftovers but I have been dragging my feet. Sold or Selling non-Chaos stuff to cover some cost! To be honest I just want to hoard it all but can't. First-year in the hobby...

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
