I'm looking for recommendations for a NON-matte sealant... basically something that isn't quite matte, but isn't gloss. It seems like this is called "Satin", although I'm open to anything between the spectrum of Dullcote (complete matte) and gloss finish.

Planning to airbrush, but might also be open to a rattle can...

Recommendations for this seem hard to find, so suggestions are very much appreciated!!

Vallejo Premium RC range has a satin varnish. It's still pretty matte, but I think it's pretty decent

Army painter Satin spray isn't too bad from my experience.

I very much like AK Interactive Ultra Matte through my airbrush - and they've got a satin finish in the same range if that's more your preference. I haven't tried it, but it would be what I would go for if I was after a satin.

My current favorite:

Goes down perfectly when thinned with lacquer thinner (even better with Mr Leveling Thinner), but should work just fine with Tamiya acrylic thinner.

Vallejo mecha range has matte, satin, and gloss varnish which i’ve had great results through my airbrush.
