I'm wondering if anyone could provide me with some guidance on transport and storage options for my minis:

I have:

1 Raider (magnetised sail)
1 Razorwing Jetfighter
4 Venoms
4 Talos (magnetised)
9 Reaver Jetbikes
30ish Drukhari infantry-sized models

I'm considering one of the GW boxes, mainly because the foam system looks like it might suit the irregular shapes of my collection. Has anyone got any insight on how worthwhile they are? What size would I need?

Any alternatives which may suit me better?

GW boxes are very expensive. I had quite a dilemma with storage and posted to get advice. In the end my wife brought me a really decent arts and crafts box (with handle and small compartments on top - perfect for dice and bits). £9 from Hobbycraft. Got some foam from Amazon which I cut and shaped myself and put inside main section where I keep my models. Works for me.

Check out different options, though. I actually think shoeboxes with cheap foam are a good, cost effective solution too.

I generally use pluck foam loaded into plastic tote/storage boxes. As long as you're not walking further than from a car to a gaming store/house you don't need fancy carrying cases.

Pluck foam (or custom trays from whomever) are kind of needed for those big angular vehicles, and a tote bin gives you the best options for stacking and carrying a bunch of trays.
