Hi. My name is Jake. I've been a member here forever, and some of you may remember arguing with me in the past. I also make a webcomic called Modest Medusa, about a 6 year old monster from a magical land who comes to our world to find a new family and learn about Pokemon and junk food.
This week I launched a Kickstarter for a small set of Modest Medusa miniatures. Since Dakka is where I've been getting my minis news for like a decade and I've discovered all kinds of cool projects here I thought I'd share mine.
Here's the Kickstarter link!

I'm working with Steve Tooze of
3d Printing Delaware to produce a short run of nice 3D printed resin minis. Each of our 33
mm miniatures is printed in translucent green resin and comes with a plastic base. The minis are sculpted by Brian Phelps, and our samples were painted by Drew Olds. This project is an experiment for me, since I've never produced miniatures before. But Steve has been producing miniatures for years. I do have a long history of producing comics and role playing games, and this is my 7th or 8th kickstarter project.
Here's some painted photos of our models:
And here's some pictures of the unpainted resin minis:
And some 3D renders:
Our project is already funded and we're producing stretch goals. Our latest stretch goal is a Halloween themed Witch Modest Medusa!
And here's the comic strip I made to announce the project's launch!
I hope you'll check out our project and help us produce this modest (haha) collection of miniatures. Here's the link again:
