Hey all finally got around to trying out my Russian steel legion
our group tends to like playing 150 points so that's what we ran

The table
the game
so as you know a lot can happen with alternating activation.
most of turn 1 was a battle between the steel legion and the plane. I eventually shot it down but the bombs and guns (and some bad dice rolls) saw me loose the command squad, most of the tesla squad and a red rain.
subsequent turns-
the middle of the table was a slug fest between 2 melors the last tesla trooper and the anti-tank squad VS the bulldogs. it took some doing but I took out one bulldog and badly mauled the second for the loss of the melors and the wnti-tank squad.
The left side of the table ended up being a walker push. he was only defending with the rattler and the ant-tank rangers. with some seriously good damage resilience rolls and repairs I managed to take them both out without loosing a single walker.
Now I had him pincered, he had fallen back to the middle of the table. as a last hurrah he managed to kill a Mikhail and the fire support squad before loosing the last bulldog.
at this point his remaining units decided on the better course of retreat. with tom, gregor, the command squad and mobile
HQ being the only units left.
I still had the lone tesla steel gurds trooper, a single red rain. and one of each walker left.
a bloody victory where Russian quantity won the day against the allies.
