The difference between falling (whether or not intentionally) and choosing to end a movement in thin air seems to be inadequately defined.
Falling (Core Book pg 42) explicitly states that your opponent determines where you land, save for the caveat on being knocked off a platform with a crit when there is no place to land.
Jumping (Core Book pg 41) states you fall directly vertically down in the shadow of where you were.
If my opponent ends either of his 2 Actions atop a fence with the intention of jumping down on the other side and potentially accepting Impact Damage, does he land where he wills on the ground on the side of the fence he intends or does he land wherever I maliciously determine within 2 " including maybe back on the side of the fence he was trying to escape?
This seems to be one of the many things that needed FAQs, like reaching a Treasure or Objective through a solid wall or whether or not a 1" range weapon can hit an enemy on a perforated platform 3" above my head.
Thanks,
