So I was hoping to start working on this Tyranid kill team based on Chess pieces, using a black and white scheme and sculpted marble-painted chessboard bases. Unfortunately it is probably going to be on the back burner for a while so I won't be able to follow this up with pictures

Bishop is an experiment in voxcaster technology and study of a multitude of frequency broadcast variables. Such as but not limited to: Warp interference, Warp channel frequencies, Tyranid-Warp malfluence, Tyranid thought function, Tyranid Hive Mind communication implementation, Tyranid Hive Mind communication channels, etc.
Before initial capture Bishop was not a commander per se, but rather an important lynchpin in the web of Synaptic relay that holds the Swarm together and directs it through communications and commands.
