Is the Deredeo Dreadnought usable in warhammer 40k? I was gonna buy 1 but when I went to get the rules for it it says it is only in the Horus Heresy.

Yes, it has rules for 40K in the Imperial Armour Index Forces of the Adeptus Astartes, sold by Forge World as well.
Note that some of the new Deredeo weapons (Volkite something) have no rules for 40K.

Yes Deredeo is a very good dreadnought platform, even better with CSM

Best with Death Guard imo, but it is a very good Dread for loyalists and Chaos alike.

Might be best with Iron Hands now, thinking about it.

I'd say better in Chaos, for the simple fact that the missiles are indirect fire. Plus the Butcher Cannon is pretty solid.

But with doctrines and better Chapter tactic bonuses, even Ultramarines can copy Death Guards move and shoot. IH get rerolls on top of that turn 1.

Death Guard is still definitely better than Ultras.

Iron Hands have more durability, accuracy and AP in their Doctrine.
