I got into a short (friendly) debate with an RL friend regarding multidamage weapons and injury rolls.
I can't remember the stats of the shot and the targeted model but suffice to say I had a 3-damage weapon and his model had 2 wounds. He said the injury roll is just going to be one die because the 2-wound pool ate up the 2 in the 3-damage shot.
However, the way I understand it is, the injury roll should be equal to the damage **characteristic*** (ie, the damage stat) of the weapon. (For weapons with a random amount of damage the injury roll's number of dice should equal to the damage stat rolled.) So it should have been 3-dice injury roll. It has nothing to do with "remaining HP eating up damage."
I am confident that I am right and he's wrong.
