in the bombing mission, it does not say where to set up your Ground Defences, all the other missions say within 6 hexes of the player's edge. I'm going to assume that this mission would be the same but has anyone heard any official errata on this?

I asked this a while ago without results. There is nothing official yet so youre free to interpret it however you want, just agree with your opponent.
Reasonably just go with the same as for the other missions.

The AI rulebook is clearly a rushed product, sadly, and the only right thing would have been to put up an errata/faq days or weeks after release...
Im not convinced AI has a future :/
