This miniseries is comiing to Hulu this spring (march 5th), directed by Alex Garland (Annihilation, Ex Machina). I've liked everything this director has done so far, so this is pretty exciting to me. Litle is known about the plot so far. A lot of auter type directors seem to be getting into streaming, probably because of more creative freedom. (such as NWR with Too Old to Die Young). Films seem to be becoming a bit formulaic, but streaming IMO seems to be becoming the better platform for stuff that goes against the grain. Garland really had to struggle with the producers and people involved with distrubuting Annihilation (apparently it wasn't accessible enough and the main character not sympathetic etc). But aside from Dune this series is probably my 2nd most anticipated thing this year.

First two episodes drop on Hulu tomorow/today on march 5th. I think there is supposed to be about 8 episodes total, and it's a one off series so no season 2. I plan on watching the first couple later tomorrow evening. The reviews seem mostly positive, basically if you liked Ex Machina/ Annihilation this is more of the same type of direction and style.
Just watched the first 2 episodes, and I'm digging it big time.
Spoiler:
My guess? They've realized that there is no free will, and that everything you do is pretty much already determined. That, or they've discovered reality is a simulation, which is potentially the same thing as the previous sentence.

Yeah i'm looking forward to the rest of the series. It's definitely well shot/directed and scored. With a show with this kind of plotline though I wonder if it would have been better off dropped all at once so it's fresh in the mind. Then again it's nice to have something to look forward to weekly...I guess time will tell.
