Ive built a board for warcry using the starter box terrain!
I know it removes the ability to draw a random terrain card but im fine with that, makes setup far quicker too!

A few pics, it still need a final coat of varnish and a frame but otherwise its done!

Super job here. The water and blood effects came out brilliant. Overall the whole scheme goes together. Thanks for sharing this! Always nice to see some inspiring terrain work.

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

Incredible! Even with the fixed terrain it's totally worth it, wouldn't get tired of playing on such board

This is the kind of board you'd be ashamed to play unpainted models on

Just a pic from the finished board, now I need to find a good spot on the wall to hang it!

I've never been so awed by pictures of another man's ding-dong, but holy crap... gonna use that board to play on, or make a diorama? It's perfect for both.

It will be used to play on, but most of the time it will hang on the wall (like a painting) as I have a constant struggle with storing all hobby stuffs!

If you make things like this, then perhaps a sort of 'stackable' system would work? A series of shelves that you could slide things like this into, and would protect them and minimize their space?

Yeah ive thought about something like that, Im sure ive seen something similar on Youtube. It would have to have rather high shelves, and the entire thing would be quite high but definitely a solid solution. Its something I plan to look into in the future if I decide to make more static terrain boards.
Right now though, its the walls! I dont have a lot of decorations on the walls so thats wasted space!

I was actually looking into making something that was on wheels- and drafting up different sizes. Ideally, it would be like small 'shelves' in a case or cart, adjustable in height with slots for model bases (foam is great but not every model works in foam). The idea later evolved into a system of breaking down a terrain table into a movable 2'x2' rolling case/cart.
