Hi guys!
I`ve just started out with Tau, and I`m told i should magnetize my suits, my dones, my tanks, and so on.
So far, I have 20 fire warriors, 10 pathfinders, about 22 drones, a coldstar commander, 6 XV8 suits, 3 XV85 suits. I've assembled only the pathfinders and firewarriors so far and stared gluing the XV8 suits. The cheapest for me and what i have the best experience with is ordering from China on aliexpress.

So my question to you guys. What sizes of magnets should i buy, not how many, I`m just joing to order a bunch of them. But some idea of what magnets fits to what weapons is really helpful. Ty.

PS. Really prefer the mesasurements in millimeters over inches.

I mostly use 1.5mm, 2mm and 3mm diamater, and 1-2mm deep.
Get drill bits to match, and a set of pin vices for the smaller bits.

I don't do Tau, but my Eldar, IG and Marines have all used these sizes.

I use dia 2mm x 1mm thick and they work well for Tau suits, just about the right size to fit in the weapon hard point slots.

Be aware that there are different strength ratings on magnets; doesn’t matter too much for just the Crisis weapons, but if you want to use them on an arm, for example, you’ll want the strongest ones.

I used clippings from paper fasteners on my tau weapon bits and have two 2x2mm magnets in the hard points. That is for crisis sized stuff in plastic. That is cheaper than sticking two magnets into every weapon bit ;-]
