So, I'm getting my friends to play some MEdge with me.

They're not wargamers usually, so data may not be the most valuable, but I am running an Artarian Remnant list.

My Artarian Remnant List

His Broken List

I am also currently having a wargaming friend (who, sadly, does not live near enough to game with me) make a Karist Enclave list for us to use as well.

Later, I will report on how the game went. And yes, I know melee isn't the best in MEdge-sue me, I like punching stuff.

Excellent, the embodiment of the 'elite Remnant fighting the Broken hordes' picture. Will be interesting!

I got buttsmashed.

Lesson learned-fun as it is, heavy melee forces do NOT work.

Conflagration Launchers are pretty boss, though! Lots of shots, high damage, good stuff!

Yeah, melee can be super effective when used correctly, but for the most part you need to really soften the targets up first, as otherwise getting in too close is just painful.

Which, with only six models, wasn’t super possible.

Looking at your list, you certainly should have enough firepower there to make it work, but you would need to focus your force. Having said that, it's not easy against a Broken horde, as the difference in the number of units on the table on each side is so huge.

I'd be curious to see how you go against that Karist list, although four Mature Angels is a tough call for any opponent... you'll need to concentrate on them and get rid of them as quickly as possible.
